  • Pelmeni Recipe
    (This amount makes 3 full plates of pelmeni.)


    1. Prepare meat filling:
    Mix together beef, pork, egg, onion, pepper and salt.
    We recommend:
    1 1/2 pounds ground beef
    1/2 pound ground pork
    1 egg
    Add ground onions, black pepper, and salt.

    2. Prepare the dough:
    We recommend:
    4 eggs
    1 cup of milk
    1/2 cup of sunflower oil
    1/2 teaspoon of salt
    5 cups of flour

    Assembling the pelmeni:
    3. Cut the dough into 5 equal parts and then roll 1 thin. Sprinkle flour lightly over the dough and the pelmeni plate. Lay the dough over the pelmeni plate.
    4. Put a small piece of meat filling into each pocket of the plate.
    5. Prepare another sheet of dough and cover the meat.
    6. Roll over the plate with a rolling pin and remove excess dough. (Use excess dough scraps to make up the last sheet of dough for the third set of pelmeni.)
    7. Flip the plate over and shake the pelmeni out.
    8. Place pelmeni on a tray and either cook them right away or freeze them.

    Cooking the pelmeni:
    9. Put your freshly made or frozen pelmeni into boiling salted water. Add bay leaves for flavor, if desired. Boil for 4-5 minutes. They are done when they rise to the surface. Lift the cooked pelmeni out from the water, and place on a plate.
    10. An option is to fry the cooked pelmeni with some oil in a frying pan until lightly browned.
    11. Serve the pelmeni with sour cream, pepper, butter, or any tomato or cream sauce.
    12. You can also serve them in a broth.




  • Dough Recipie for wallnuts and sea shells for cooktop

     

    • 2 1/2 sticks of margarine (or butter)

      1 cup of sugar powder
      3 egg yolks
      1/2 tsp. baking soda
      3 cups of flour
      (Dough should not stick to hands).

      1/2 чай ложки соды гашенной в уксусе,
      3 стакана муки


      Начинка
      1 баночка варёной сгущёнки
